Meet the owner

Michael Tur

The person accountable for the business is not hidden behind a call center. Michael Tur is publicly identified as Midtown Towing's owner and operator.

Michael's role covers overall business oversight, financial and budget controls, personnel supervision, and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. His background includes management experience with UPS and State Farm and a bachelor's degree in Supervision and Management from Miami Dade College.

He also serves as a councilman in the Village of Virginia Gardens. That public role is separate from Midtown, but it makes his commitment to transparency, fiscal responsibility, and ethical governance a matter of public record.

The Midtown story

One truck became a Miami-Dade operation.

The business has changed with Miami. The family-rooted purpose has not: show up prepared and move difficult situations forward.

1987

One truck and a dream

Lauraine and Howard Lichtman begin the story.

A published family history remembers Midtown starting with a single truck. Florida records show the company was incorporated on February 11, 1987.

1997–2007

Resolve becomes growth

Lauraine carries the company forward.

After co-founder Howard's death, Lauraine continued the family business. Within a decade, the operation had grown to 19 trucks and three locations.

Today

Owner-led in Miami-Dade

Michael Tur leads the next chapter.

Midtown now dispatches from Miami and Hialeah, with capability spanning roadside assistance through heavy-duty towing and recovery.

Current, not borrowed

Public-service experience you can verify.

Trust should rest on something sturdier than a slogan. Current public records connect Midtown to active company leadership and regulated municipal work.

What ownership means on the road

No mystery between the call and the move.

Start with details

Location, vehicle, condition, access, and destination shape the response.

02

Match the equipment

The truck and loading approach should fit the vehicle and visible conditions.

03

Say what varies

Availability, timing, and pricing depend on the actual call; dispatch confirms the next step.

04

Stay accountable
